Colorado Launches $162 Million Broadband Grant Program for ISPs

The Colorado Broadband Office has opened applications for the Advance Colorado Broadband program, a $162 million grant opportunity funded by federal pandemic relief and aimed at expanding high-speed internet to underserved areas. The Advance Colorado Broadband program is made possible through the Capital Project Fund of the 2021 American Rescue Plan. It welcomes participation from municipalities, counties, special districts, tribes, co-operatives, internet service providers, and other entities that intend to undertake broadband infrastructure projects in areas where a majority of the population lacks access to high-speed internet.

The Colorado Broadband Office will give priority to applications proposing projects focused on building last-mile fiber. Wireline and fixed wireless technologies will also be considered within the program's scope.
