In his proclamation, Governor Stitt recognized the critical role that broadband plays in our communities, from enabling education and healthcare to supporting small businesses and rural development. His declaration of March 24-28, 2025, as "Broadband Appreciation Week" is a powerful acknowledgment of the tireless work that broadband providers do every day to keep us connected.

WISPA and the independent ISPs behind rural broadband

This celebration, highlighted by the **Wireless Internet Service Providers Association** **(WISPA)**, honors the thousands of independent internet providers across the country who build and maintain the networks that so many Americans rely on. WISPA represents the voice of small and innovative internet service providers that bring connectivity to underserved and hard-to-reach areas. These companies are the backbone of broadband growth in rural America and play a vital role in expanding internet access nationwide.
